Holding on to that tiny finger,

smiling in awe and kiddie wonder!

running to the pram when mummy's not around..

carefully lifting the new entrant sleeping sound!

talking in class, caught by tyagi ms, who scolds,

"what were u discussing?" "teacher! my sis is 4 days old!"

protection from school bullies and daddie's spanks,

sumtimes yr best buddy,sumtimes a lethal foe of the highest ranks!

the "certified" sneak who steals proudly from ya wardrobe..

spying over yr messages..linking u with imaginary heartthrobs!:p

sometimes yr partner for midnite hogs,

sometimes the force behind early morn jogs!

grumpily scurring to mum for daily complaints that never cease...

but knocking a 3rd person who pin-points!" mind ya business please!":)

your support system through life's morbid mire,

yr companion in the last journey all along till the pyre..

then why do things change as years pass by?

why is saying "sorrie" not as easy as before?

why arent patch-ups not initiated within a few minutes?

why do fights move beyond who'll get the window seat?

why do bank balances surpass the jointly owned" piggy bank"?

why does envy malign the once "best buddy's think tank"?

not evryones blessed with such companionship,

walking beside you in this roller-coaster trip..

you may have money, fame, material riches..almost EVRYTHING...

but youre truly wealthy ONLY when u VALUE the GIFT of a SIBLING!

Hey MOM,

As I write this to You,

This is just not another song,

Its a piece of my heart,

I write it out on paper,

Its something special,

its something new,

Cause my life begins from YOU..........

I've given you pain,

Day in and day out,

Taken your sleep for nine months,

While I was tossing and turning,

Kicking and playing inside You...

Its must have been a feeling,

Too good to be true,

Feeling of being one with You,

Feeling of being secure.

To one fine day I just popped out of you,

Wonder what the feeling of your first touch would have been,

I wish I could capture the smile on your face that I had then seen.

You taught me how to do everything,

I ever needed to do,

From walking,eating and talking a language new,

You took me in your arms,everytimeI cried and felt alarmed.

You comforted me,

Wiped my tears,You helped me overcome

All my fears...

You gave me strength,

To withstand all the pain,

You taught me to make paper boats,

In the rain.

You showed me the difference between good and bad,

Not even for a moment,

You let me be sad,

You prayed day and night for me,

You gave me space to let me be,

You knew it all,.. whatever i needed,

Without You in life,

I would have never succeeded,

I was in every prayer of yours,

You wanted to see me fly,

Fly so high,

Everytime I was sad,your heart would cry,

You cherished and captured every moments

I'd never think of,

You're my heaven...your love is all above....

You made me happy in everyway,

I would open my eyes and look for you everyday,

No matter how old I grow,

Every moment in my life that I live,

Today I sat lost in thoughts on the shore,watching the world in copious scores..

A wave appeared then another ..all in a line,an unending phenomena occuring all the time!

receding softly when the tides low and gushing forward during high tides,waves dancing to and fro, just like the people in our lives!

some who rush out as quickly as they rushed in,some who stood through thick and thin..some who failed to leave behind a mark..some whose shadows you can feel even in the dark..some who changed you while you stood unaware..some you thought were genuine while they were busy feigning care..some loved you but never expressed..some you loved but never confessed..some whose deceit made your blood boil..some whom you hurt unknowingly ..in sleepless nights you coil..some whose honey dipped tongues hid their coal-burnt insides..some whose blunt yet truthful tones unveiled "your other side"..some for whom you'll always BE A REASON TO LIVE..some who just dont know whats receiving..coz they ve only LEARNT to GIVE...some whose value you may never ever realise..some who'll leave you stranded,without notice,without goodbyes..

waves will come and waves will go..surging surging high tides, receding when low..some may engulf you,some may lead you safely to the shore..some may calm your senses..some may topple boats:)

an incessant phenomena occuring all the time...waves dancing to n fro.. just like the people in our lives....

I have never seen you,
But I do see the time we are going to have together
I have never held you,
But I do feel you
I have never smelled you,
But I do sense you
I have never spoken to you,
But I do hear your giggle
I have never known you,
But I do care about you
You are yet unborn,
But I already love you, my beloved niece
I do think a lot of you

I am sure that your mum and dad

But there will be times,
Where you will need someone else
You can talk to, share things with
